Stupid "mom" internet ads

I normally use "AdBlock Plus" for Firefox. However, I cannot use it for work. Apparently, every ad on the internet now says that a "mom" of some kind has done something.

On ONE single page, we have:
Banner ad across top:
"Baltimore Mom lost 47 lbs following one rule"
"Local Mom Makes $6977/Month!"

OK, on the right of the article:
"Don't pay for White Teeth - Columbia Mom discovers one simple trick..." - OK, their IP geolocation says Columbia, the other ad network says Baltimore.
"Acai Berry Exposed"

Farther to the right:
"Don't pay for White Teeth - Columbia Mom..." - EXACT same ad
"Acai Berry Exposed" - Ditto
"Columbia Mom Lost 46lbs Following 1 Rule" - apparently, they realized that 47 sounded too far fetched? Or Baltimore vs Columbia thing going on?

Then, at the bottom of the page:
"Baltimore: Local Mom Makes $6927/Month!" - Again, was the extra $50 from the top of the page too much exaggeration?
"DON'T Let the Dentist Fool You: Single mom discovers 1 simple trick..." - So single moms are apparently even more trustworthy than "local" ones?

WTF? Is ANYBODY stupid enough to believe ANY of this crap??? They must be, or else the ads wouldn't be there!
