Coolest Art I've Seen

I'm not a big "art" person, but this is just amazing. This guy messed with pulp fiction covers and camera angles. The results are just mindblowing:

Wish I had skills like that!

Classic PC Mistakes

Absolute CLASSIC line: "Every time a user switched on or off the system, the Adam's power supply emitted a strong electromagnetic pulse that could scramble or erase the data stored on magnetic data cassettes that the Adam uses to store its programs."

Magazines - $5 a year for Wired! Nice.

My Wired subscription is up and they offered me a "professional discount" to $12 a year. I decided to check Amazon. Lo and behold, they have it for $10. And a promotion for $5 off until July 31, so I got two years for $15.

I also picked up Popular Mechanics - for $13 for 2 years, why not?

There's a list of the summer promo mags but I stopped at around 100.

Yes, the above link does register as a referral from me. If you want to buy a Kindle at the new $299 price - http://bit.ly/kindle_rr - Kitty's Aunt has a 1st gen one and loves it because she can do any book in large print.

A GREAT WORK OF ART....................

So I said to him, "Barack, I know Abe Lincoln, and you ain't Abe Lincoln."

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.

You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

.....Abraham Lincoln
